"Lustreware" (Decorated in blue) and "painted tin glazedware" (Decorated in green). It was introduced in the 13th century from the Middle East through the Musling civilization and handmade tilework was particulary common in Spain from the earlist period. | ||||||

 esde 1960 El azulejo de Cealfar se hace artesanalmente por profesionales de la arcilla, las losas pueden estar barnizadas (prolongando
su vida ) o no estarlo, podemos obtener cualquier tipo de color, el tamaño común de nuestro azulejo es de 20x20 aunque podemos hacerlos de
cualquier medida y diseño del azulejo, este es recomendado para cocinas,
baños, terrazas... pues resiste los ataques de los ácidos, aceites, grasas,
y es ideal donde el calor del suelo no supere los 27º , además
es de fácil
limpieza y mantenimiento. |
 ince the 60´s the Cealfar tile´s have been reflecting the
taste of spanish rules and other cultural contacts from the middle East.
Cealfar handmade tile´s have traditionally been made of glazed
or unglazed fired clay,the range of color and pictures is ilimited, where common
sizes are 9 inches (22 centimeters) by 1/8 inch or 1/10 inch (Three or two
milimeters ). The tiles are resistant to fungal attack, mild acids, alkalies, oils, grease and are suitable for use where floor heat is less
than 80ºF (27ºC). Sweeping and washing it with warm water and
soap or detergent keeps them clean (easily mantained) and Wax or resin emulsion
polishes improve their appearence and prolong their life . The tiles
are recommended for bath, kitchen, terrace.. | ||||||
